Shed Of The Year!
Who would have known that such things exist! One evening whilst trawling the internet in search of some inspiration, I stumbled on this competition sponsored by Cuprinol, and judged by architect and presenter George Clarke from amazing spaces.
After visiting many (certainly not all as there are hundreds!) of the nominated sheds, I felt the need to register one of our thatched garden offices to demonstrate A/ how versatile a shed can be, and B/ how beautiful!
I have to be honest and say that, I was not sure whether our buildings would be appreciated in a competition, where some of the unique sheds, include sheds with boats and allotments for roofs. But the idea of winning £1,000.00 for Gt Ormond Street Hospital was incentive enough to give it a whirl!
Very quickly we started receiving likes and shares through Facebook, and some positive comments from other “sheddies”! Then earlier this year we were contacted by a PR company, for further information and pictures to share with the national press, and more recently a production company, that will be producing a 3 part series on channel 4!
We’re hoping that we win, not only for a bit of team morale, and some national advertisement, but to enable us to donate a lump sum of £1,000.00 to GOSH an amazing charity that do great work with some very compromised children and their parents.
The overall winner will be determined by national votes, so please vote by visiting www.readersheds.co.uk/share.cfm?SHARESHED=4668 voting commences on the 27th of May 2014.
